  • Jeff Keppinger and Jesse Crain missed today’s Spring Training game against the Indians. Keppinger reported having right shoulder inflammation. Crain who hasn’t pitched since late February was out with strained right abductor. Keppinger is expected back in a few days. Manager Robin Ventura doesn’t believe the injuries will keep them off the Opening Day roster against the Royals.
  • Right fielder Alex Rios helped Team Puerto Rico rally to avoid elimination last night against Team Italy. Rios singled in the 8th inning and scored the winning run from second base on an infield single from Andy Gonzalez. Team Puerto Rico won 4-3 by scoring 3 runs in the bottom of the 8th. They will face the loser of the Dominican Republic and United States game.
